This week I went to the cinema to see the Oscar-winning movie “The King’s speech.” Regardless of my highest recommendation to go and watch it, it was an interesting lesson about the importance of communication.
A leader (political, religious, military, business or sports) has a powerful tool to deliver his message to the audience: his speech.
Pep Guardiola is a good coach (I do not dare to question the Catalan leader) but I wonder if he would arouse so much interest and respect if he spoke insecure and stutter in front of the microphones.
There are great speakers who have gone down in history for their ability to communicate. Winston Churchill said excitedly, “Never before so many have owed so much to such a few” referring to the armies that fought in the British Channel and prevented the Nazi occupation of England.
Well … never so few words defined more accurately a situation.
